Longdogs Consulting was built on the belief that good advice should be practical, honest and genuinely useful, not buried behind layers of jargon or corporate process.
Managing Director Drew Johnson, has spent more than 30 years helping businesses, organisations and leadership teams navigate change, solve problems and move projects forward. Not just writing strategies, but helping people deal with the reality of making things happen in complex organisations.
Today, the Longdogs family combines decades of experience with a modern, hands-on approach. We work across business consultancy, finance, town planning and marketing, bringing together trusted partner firms and specialist associates so clients can access the right expertise for their situation, without having to navigate multiple advisers themselves.
We’re intentionally different from a traditional consulting firm. We’re small, approachable and practical. No unnecessary bureaucracy. No recycled presentations. Just experienced people working closely with clients to overcome challenges, unlock opportunities and deliver meaningful results.
The name “Longdogs” comes from our family’s long-standing love of Dachshunds. Anyone who knows the breed will understand why it felt right. Clever, determined, adaptable and often surprisingly tenacious for their size. That reflects how we work too. Thoughtful, creative and persistent when tackling difficult problems.
