At the helm of Longdogs Consulting is Managing Director Drew Johnson, whose 30+ years of experience helping businesses and leadership teams navigate change, solve problems and deliver results sits at the heart of everything we do.
Over three decades, Drew has worked across a wide range of sectors and organisations, not just writing strategies from the sidelines, but getting stuck into the reality of making things happen within complex teams and structures. That practical, hands-on approach shapes the way our whole team works with clients today, focused less on process and paperwork, and more on genuinely moving things forward.
Our Story
Longdogs Consulting was built on a simple idea: good advice shouldn't come wrapped in jargon, bureaucracy or a stack of recycled slides. It should be honest, practical, and actually useful.

That idea has grown into something a little different. Today, the Longdogs family brings together specialists across business consultancy, finance, town planning and marketing, a genuinely broad spread of expertise, united under one roof. Instead of sending clients off to find (and manage) a handful of separate advisers, we do the joining up for you, drawing on trusted partner firms and specialist associates to get the right people around the table for your specific situation.

It's an approach few consultancies offer. We're small by design, not by limitation, staying close to our clients, cutting the unnecessary process, and putting experienced people directly onto the problems that matter. No corporate layers. No box-ticking. Just the right expertise, applied where it counts.

The name "Longdogs" comes from our family's long-standing love of Dachshunds. Anyone who knows the breed will understand why it felt right: clever, determined, adaptable and often surprisingly tenacious for their size. That's exactly how we work too, thoughtful, creative and persistent when tackling the difficult problems.
